A middled-aged man wearing glasses and claiming to have a gun robbed the Citibank at the corner of Olympic and California boulevards Friday afternoon.
The robbery occurred just after 3 p.m. The man, described as a black, in his 40s or 50s, and wearing wire-rimmed glasses, jeans, and a yellow "Polo-type" shirt with red stripes, entered the bank and approached the teller. He said he had a gun, but didn't display any weapon. The robber was handed an undisclosed amount of money and was last seen fleeing on foot southbound on California Boulevard.
Officers searched the area, and called in a K-9 unit from the Concord Police Department to help in the search, but they were unable to find the robber.
