Yeah, maybe something like it could happen here: WC woman receives Santa killer-inspired threat

Or, at least the bullying, harassing ex-boyfriends and ex-husbands in our community and elsewhere have a new role model in the form of Bruce Pardo.

He's the laid-off aerospace engineer who finalized his acrimonious, expensive divorce by disguising himself in a Santa suit on Christmas Eve. He then burst into the suburban Southern California home of his former in-laws. They were in the midst of hosting a large a large holiday party for family and friends. He immediately shot and killed nine people, including his ex-wife and her parents, then set fire to the house before killing himself.

On the Walnut Creek Police Department daily bulletin, I came across this call to the police department on the Friday afternoon after Christmas. A woman in the 1200 block of Montego Way reported that her ex violated his restraining order. How exactly did she say he did this? He's not supposed to contact her, but he nevertheless sent her an e-mail with a link to a news story about the "Santa suit killings."

The police say they launched an investigation into who exactly sent the e-mail.

Didn't think it would take long before assholes like this woman's ex would start using that tragedy to start tormenting the women who had the courage to leave them.
