Police are looking for an armed man who robbed the store at the Chevron station on North Main Street Sunday night.
Walnut Creek police Lt. Tim Barrett says the robber came into the store at about 9:30 p.m. wearing a black motorcycle helmet and brandishing a semiautomatic pistol. The station is located at 2329 North Main Street.
An employee after the robber came into the store, he brandished his pistol, and demanded money from the register. The robber then left the store, carrying an undisclosed amount of cash.
The employee called 911, and police immediately arrived and used a K-9 dog to track the robber's direction of travel. The trail was lost several blocks from the store.
The robber is described as a black male adult, 6 feet tall with a thin build, and last seen wearing a grey jacket, black motorcycle helmet with a clear visor, and the sticker "Fuel" on the back. The robber also had large "bulging" eyes and was wearing wire-rim glasses.
Anyone with further information is encouraged to contact the Walnut Creek Police Department at (925) 943-5844.
