WC police investigating man shot in the neck while driving on Geary Road

UPDATE: Walnut Creek police Lt Bryan Hill confirmed Friday afternoon that at about 7:30 p.m. Thursday, witnesses saw a blue Saturn sedan crash into a tree in the 2100 block of Geary Road in Pleasant Hill.

Medical personnel responded. So did officers from Walnut Creek and Pleasant Hill police departments. The car's driver was transported to John Muir Hospital where it was learned that he had been shot once in the neck.

Further investigation showed that the driver may have been shot while driving on Geary Road. Walnut Creek police detectives are pursuing potential leads.

FRIDAY MORNING: We just learned that blogging friend, the DUBC, reports he just got a tip that both the Pleasant Hill and Walnut Creek Police departments are investigating a shooting that occurred last night. The case started as a traffic accident, with no one clear the victim had been shot until he arrived at the hospital.

anyone no the race of the suspect or victim. I'v seen some shady characters lately at the chevron gas station. Oakland looking fools if you know what I mean. Dredlocks, gold teeth, pants hang'n below the ass. The savages are spreading unfortunately into good communities
