Are you ready for Halloween? Did you order your special Halloween cake?

You might like one like this, one of the many images on the blog, Cake Wrecks, that show "when professional cakes go horribly, hilarious wrong."

The publisher is Jen Yates, and she highlights cakes that are "unintentionally sad, silly, creepy or inappropriate." The images she posts are accompanied by her own crisp, snarky comments.

"A Wreck," she says, "is not necessarily a poorly made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good h as made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places."

The headline for this very special skeleton cake is "Step One: Cut a Hole in a Pumpkin," followed by "I can't think of a more Wreckstastic harbinger of Halloween happiness than this guy. ... Yep, Mr. Boneheard here suuure is happy. How happy, you ask? Happy enough to say, "Look, ma! No hands!"

Okay, some of the cakes that make it on Cake Wrecks, along with Jen's comments, are not exactly G-rated...

She features sad, silly wedding cakes, and some absolutely bizarre wedding shower cakes that feature a disturbing trend: an image of the ultrasound photo spread across the cake's top. Yeah, I'd really want to cut into that!
