Police looking for robbers who pointed gun at victim and punched him in the face

Walnut Creek police are looking for three teenagers who robbed a man Tuesday evening in the 1500 block of Sunnyvale.

The robbery occurred at about 8:50 p.m., says Lt. Shelley James. The robbers, estimated to be between ages 16 and 19 and all wearing hooded sweatshirts, approached the victim as he was sitting in his parked vehicle.

The robbers knocked on the victim's window and demanded he roll it down. One of the robbers pointed a shotgun at the victim and demanded money.

The victim was punched once in the face by a second robber and had his money taken from his pocket. The robbers fled on foot westbound on Sunnyvale Avenue. Police searched the area but couldn't find the three.

Here's a description of the suspects:
1: Black male, 17-19 years old, short, thin, close cropped hair, wearing dark colored jeans and a dark hooded zip sweatshirt with numerous designs on the front.

2: Black male, 16-19 years old, approximately 5-foot 10 inches thin build, wearing dark colored jeans and a dark zip hooded sweatshirt over a white T-shirt.

3: Black male, 16-19 years old, thin, close cropped hair, thin facial features, dark colored jeans, black jacket over a gray hooded sweatshirt.

Anyone with any information is encouraged to call the Walnut Creek Police Department at (925) 943-5844.

Yep, that was them in Safeway on Bancroft on Tuesday. They acted funny in the store and that is what caught my attention.

Ooops, I should have said the pictures on Claycord confirmed that I did see these horrible young men in Safeway on Bancroft on Tuesday around 6:45-7 PM. We all need to be careful and know our surroundings. Plus if someone walks up to your car you don't know, start the car and leave fast. Scary, my youngest is out driving at night for sports practices.
