Trevor collapsed on campus on Monday and died at 10:01 a.m. Thursday "after fighting bravely," his father, Jon Tonsing said.
"Trevor, your smile will never fade from people’s hearts including mine. Your crazy happiness brightened the mood for everyone. I will cherish all the memories I have been able to have with you. Your family loves you dearly along with everyone around you," wrote one person on the page dedicated to Trevor on the student-run website Intra Venous .
Trevor was member of Boy Scout Troop 832 in Walnut Creek. Services are pending, and his family asks for no flowers but that contributions in Trevor's name be made to the American Heart Association or to the Children's Hospital cardiology department.

I just recently had the pleasure and honor of meeting Trevor and was working with him on Staff Development for National Youth Leadership Training where he proved himself to be a natural leader and mentor to all. His infectious smile and terrific sense of humor kept us smiling the entire time we spent together. We will all miss him greatly and our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.
