Quote o' the Day: As DC politicians muck about the debt ceiling, spending cuts and not raising taxes on the rich

An imbalance between rich and poor is the oldest and most fatal ailment of all republics.

So we should just make sure everyone has equal everything?

Sounds like COMMUNISM to me.

I'm a fiscal conservative, too, Anonymous. However, the income of our society has shifted evermore to the very rich over the last two decades. This has made it extremely difficult for low and moderate income families to survive, while the rich get much richer and don't pay their fair share in taxes.
Is there a middle ground?

The low and moderate income type families also suffer from money being spent on the feckless.
