Thanks for the note.

I probably should have provided better context for this quote. No, I'm not giving up, although I want to get better at giving up struggles over things outside of my control. I think this quote speaks to the idea of people surrendering, not resisting certain situations because doing so would just be knocking their heads against a wall. Nothing would be gained, except our own frustration. Angelou, I believe, is saying that it sometimes takes more courage and strength and wisdom to surrender than to not.
