Longs to CVS

My local--and former--Longs in downtown Walnut Creek is getting a new sign and undergoing some interior renovations, as it is transformed into CVS.

Rhode Island-based CVS bought Walnut Creek-based Longs Drugs Corp. last year in a $2.8 billion deal, and CVS was to replace all California Longs with the CVS brand.

The interior of the Longs--er, CVS--is undergoing some renovations. Which is a bit odd, considering that the Longs underwent a major renovation in the year or two prior to being sold to CVS.

I worked in DC for a year or so. A CVS was near my corporate apartment. I remember it being very similar to a Longs. Let's hope it is.

I was at Longs/CVS on Sat. they have the same cashiers. Re-renovation was in progress.

I WON'T BE BACK
Too few checkers.
Need to do the one line that feeds to all checkers to be fair to all.
My line got stalled with 2 people checking on things and getting the store card.
CHANGE TO SINGLE LINE THAT FEEDS TO ALL CHECKOUTS FOR FAIRNESS.
Shelves sparsely stocked.
Limited amount of food offered.
HIGHER prices and less stock than Walgreen's, RiteAid, Target, KMart, Walmart, etc.

I appreciated and used the $10 off on $20 purchase coupons.
