The Great Pyramid of Walnut Creek
That's right. One of the Wonders of the World is right here is Walnut Creek!
I just became aware of it today. My wonderful, observant friend pointed it out to me. Duh! This amazing, mystical, epoch-making structure was right under my nose for a few days at least.
How many people have already given their lives in the service of its creation? How many backhoes?
How much blood has been shed? Empires conquered and fallen?
More importantly, why is the pyramid here? Who is responsible? Where is it and why has it come to our town?

OK, I'll bite, where is that lovely pyramid? I can see the roof of the RCA in the trees and think the view is toward the west but can't place it. Maybe that d&*%ed library?
It's the new Central San maintenance facility on Springbrook Road (near the 680/24 interchange).
JoJo,
Anon 10:16 has your answer.
That new building is going to cost taxpayers $12 million+, have a nice gym, eco roof, plasma TVS. Government spending to replace a building that was just fine.
