Walnut Creek police arrested a 50-year-old Concord man after, they say, he walked into Cinco de Mayo restaurant on Locust Street Friday evening, pointed a gun at employees in the busy restaurant and threatened them in Spanish.
Eduardo Ricardo Prado was booked into county jail on $75,000 bail on three counts of terrorist threats, brandishing a firearm and forgery. Brandishing Firearm/Terrorist Threats Arrest
The incident happened at about 7:50 p.m. at the restaurant in the 1300 block of Locust Street. Witnesses provided police with a description of the gunman who they say left on foot after brandishing the gun and making threats.
An officer spotted the man a few few minutes later at the corner of Locust and Cypress streets. He and other officers detained him at gunpoint and found on him what was a realistic looking replica of a handgun. Witnesses identified as the man who came into the restaurant.
