well, SM, it seems as though you are becoming a "flavor of the day" blogger
why don't you write about the break ins at Diablo Magazine? Seems like that should be more interesting to you.
Quail Country is a very well-edited and gorgeous shop off the beaten track. It is wonderful that a place like this exists in Walnut Creek.
My Bad:
Dear 7:21 a.m., 7:48 p.m., and 7:35 a.m. I assume you are the same person, but maybe not. Anyway, if you have a problem with me, and evidently you do, feel free to email me at crazyinsuburbia@gmail.com. Maybe you want to make a case for why I lack professionalism and integrity. I could post it as a guest blog, as long as you make the case in the thoughtful, articulate way you think I don't.
And, even though you have a problem with me being "anonymous" (I'm not really anymore, or didn't you know that?) you're welcome to post your comments anonymously.
In the meantime, I apologize to other readres and to Quail Country Antiques for something I did this morning. I posted a comment, defending this post about this store's sale. And, I intended to post it anonymously. It didn't happen that way. That was a bad choice and it doesn't reflect well on me. I regret it.
Despite what I did, I still stand by this post about this store's sale. A regular reader who loves antiques and cares about promoting small locally-owned businesses thought it would be nice to get the word out. I thought so too. Now news about this store's sale is being taken over by a reader's perhaps well-founded complaints about me.
So, I apologize about that, too.
I hope the sale for Quail Country is going well.
Keep your head when all about you you are losing theirs...sounds like crummy anons. They've struck me in the past too. I cast my compost worm spell on them and it usually does the trick. ;)
I'm rootin' for you Soccer Mom.
BTW, I am chiming in long after whatever previous conversation has come and gone. My suggestion to the Antique store is for them to include a photo of their storefront on their website. I believe readers like to see what the storefront looks like. Just my opinion. Best of success to a small business in the world today.
